Chim Chimney Chim Chimney Chim Chim Cherree

I have no idea why I posted that title. Perhaps because it's from Mary Poppins and she reminds me of a maid who cleans all the time? Anyways, this post is about the new cleaning schedule I just made. I've been meaning to sit down and do it for weeks now. And I've gotten as far as pinning 10-15 different examples about 5 different times, but it kept coming back to needing to do something more tailored to my specific needs. And then I tried sitting down and just writing something out, but I kept trying to move chores around to different days based on work load and which days are my busiest and which I have more time on, and it just ended up a mess. So to solve all of that, I got out my handy dandy sticky notes, cut those bad boys into thirds, wrote out a chore on each, and then went to town moving them around from day to day until I ended up with a weekly schedule that was fairly balanced day to day but left Thursdays and Fridays a little lighter since those tend to be my busy days of the week, and also accounted for cleaning before LifeGroup on Sundays and after LifeGroup on Mondays. Alas, I give you: The Weekly Cleaning Schedule.

Isn't it cute?! The plan is to laminate it and stick it up on the fridge and then check off those nifty little check boxes each time I complete one of the chores. Here goes nothing! (I have the sneaking suspicion that the fun in this little project came so much more from the designing and creating of the chart rather than from the actual execution. Ah, such is the life of a SAHM!)

Movie Star

Ugh. Tonight was a scene straight out of dumb and dumber. At someone else's house. With a house full of people. From church. And a minister left to take care of it. *facepalm* #godhasasicksenseofhumor #thatwasntfunny

Icky Sicky.

My poor baby is sick AGAIN! This is like the 6th time in maybe 6 months. This time she was well (from a cold turned croup) for a whopping 1 week before catching what I'm thinking is the flu. Fever, heavy cough that makes her gag every time, the snot that won't stop, and a lovely case of diarrhea as the cherry on top. She's a hot mess.

We're home from church again (camping out on the couch in the playroom since my bed smells like vomit after she puked all of the meds I gave her in the middle of the night). I've missed 4 out of the last 5 weeks. Dude, January freaking SUCKS in the Poss house.

Justin and I were brainstorming ways to try to boost her immune system since she really is ALWAYS sick. It all started literally the week after she weaned off breastmilk. I think seeing what a difference it really has made has gotten him on board for fighting to nurse baby #2 and if I can't again (please God, no) to be open to donor milk again. It sucks that the thing she needs most is completely free and would solve all of her problems and more and I still can't give it to her. Hurts this mama's heart. :(

(in unrelated news - my girl bits are still all cattywampus inside. I should be on about CD10 but I've had gobs of EWCM the last couple days and now I'm having pains in my uterus. Hard to describe it: its like a full, heavy, bursting feeling but painful. Similar to ovulation pain but deeper and not as stabbing, and in my whole uterus and not my ovaries. No idea what's going on. And we DTD on CD6 (which should have been MORE than safe) but things are so backwards I don't even have a clue anymore. Ugh. We'll see what happens!)

Well I guess I'm off to pretend to play pots and pans while trying to sneak in a nap. *yawn*

Date Night: January

Toasty toes and roasty marshmallows.

Mommy & Daddy had s'mores and puppy had a s'marshmallow. ;)

I could go for s'more...

Heck ya - it's date night tonight! Aunt Shannon is keeping Taylor and Mommy and Daddy are having a "cuddle in the dark around the fire pit roasting marshmallows and telling schmoopy stories" kind of night! Woohoo! January - "date in a box" date = CHECK!

Now, to finish this BPO, clean the house, and maybe shop for a new top to wear for my man tonight. ;)

Insta-gratification

I just created an instagram account. Lord, please help me not to get too involved. I do not need a FB replacement. (but I WOULD like to be able to share adorable pictures of my child like the one posted below!)

Genesis 22:5

Genesis 22:5 HCSB

Then Abraham said to his young men, "Stay here with the donkey. The boy and I will go over there to worship; then we'll come back to you."

Then WE WILL come back.

Was Abraham's faith that strong through the whole thing?

I would probably Know that God *could* spare my child if He chose to, but I would probably not expect Him to.

Girls' Night

Daddy is gone to Halo night so T and I are snuggled in with our (my) hot chocolate and in our pjs and I rented "Gnomeo and Juliet" on payperview.

Right now the garden gnomes are racing lawn mowers. LOL we'll see where this goes! :p

Carrots are a'cookin!

I have these in the oven right now!

We'll see how it goes! :P

:::::edit:::::

They're pretty good. I don't actually like the taste of fresh carrots, and they still have that bitter bite to them, but they have a good seasoning flavor and I think Taylor will like them, and that was the purpose. :)

Swinging Beauty

Ah! I just stumbled upon a couple shots of TB from May 2012 that I uploaded onto Justin's computer and forgot about. I MEAN - they are just making my heart melt all over the place! She is so squishy and little and bald and BEAUTIFUL! <3

:::breathe:::

Well, I was not expecting *that*. I feel like I just got set back 2 weeks... :( I think God is trying to teach me a lesson in patience, but I was doing ok before all of this. Now I feel like the hole in my chest is breaking back open and its taking everything I've got to hold it all together....breathe....

Oh Hello.

Well hello, there. Welcome to my little corner of the world wide web. This little blog is my attempt at a facebook re-direct. It's been 72 hours and counting since I deactivated my facebook account. The shakes and facial tics are getting better (hah) but I've found myself grieving for the many status update and photo worthy opportunities that pass by daily (sometimes hourly when living with a 14 month old). So this blog is my solution. I plan to use this space to share the milestones, laughs, *headdesk* moments, random pictures, and other miscellany that used to fill the pages of my facebook and that I don't want to lose over time. I hope that any of you reading along will laugh and cry along with me and enjoy the crazy little life we call ours! <3

(how we're hanging out tonight. Taylor and Daddy and puppy enjoying a minute of Disney Jr. before heading to bed!)
